The art style reminded of the Archie and superhero comics from the 1960s and 1970s, as it follows what I like to think of as the traditional styling of comics. I did not find myself that heavily invested in the story of Asterix and Obelix as they attempted to care for and find the parents of the infant that was left on their doorstep. Also did not like that when one person of color who showed up throughout this whole story, while in a miniscule background role, was drawn in stereotypical and racist caricature. The gags throughout the story for me were reminiscent of the early cartoon days such as Looney Tunes.
